Career Opportunities at Our Wealth Management Firm

Capital Analysts of Jacksonville is actively looking for early- and mid-career financial pros who want to grow and become a part of our 4th generation plan. Founded in 1968, with consistent ownership since 1992, we are a firm that can provide the right individual with a good platform for having more control over their future, within the strength of the overarching brand.

We are a holistic, fee-based wealth management firm, focused on building long-term, multi-generational client relationships. An entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and deep commitment to participating in both local financial service organizations and community projects are integral parts of our philosophy. As an ensemble firm, we embrace the team spirit and have built a culture of cooperation and respect, and we believe our clients benefit from our collective knowledge.

1.  Financial Advisor

The right person should demonstrate a broad base of knowledge across all functions of financial planning including investments, retirement analysis, estate planning, insurance, wealth management, and employee benefits. The advisor will be responsible for developing, supporting and managing new client relationships. Candidates should have a four-year college degree, be Series 7 and Series 66 registered and insurance licensed, and have at least three years experience in the financial services industry. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional is preferred, but not initially required.

Joining Capital Analysts of Jacksonville now could lead to an equity ownership opportunity in the future. If you seek possibility and opportunity, without all of the struggles that come with building your own independent firm (or muddling along in a more constrained, corporate environment), we’d love to share more with you (or others you think might be a right-fit).

2.  Director of Plan Design and Research

In conjunction with a paraplanner, you will be in charge of comprehensive and modular financial planning services for all clients of Capital Analysts of Jacksonville.  This includes being the source of knowledge for all software packages utilized, currently including MoneyGuide Pro, eMoney, Social Security Timing, Forefield/Broadridge, and any others selected in the future.  Some processes already exist, but can be improved, to ensure that financial plans move through the system as efficiently as possible from data collection to client presentation.

This position will entail working with the team from sitting in on data sessions with clients, meeting with advisors and the paraplanner to strategize and move the case through design, doing any necessary research that falls outside the software, going over the finished plan with the advisor(s), and in most cases participating in the plan presentation and reviews.

In addition to front-end comprehensive financial planning services, you will be tasked with creating a systematic annual review process for planning clients, as well as fleshing out a quarterly meeting system or other means of keeping planning clients closely engaged with the team.  This could also include creating articles and blogs designed to be sent out to clients and posted on our website and/or social media pages once approved.

Finally, this portion of your job description will include being the go-to person for advisor questions and research.  This may be as simple as performing some calculations or researching a question about more esoteric rules regarding retirement plan distributions, or something more sophisticated such as a new estate planning technique or researching a client’s stock options plan, etc.  These requests will be handled as needed.

Product Research:

You would be responsible for some of the product offerings that often come out of the planning process.  The primary ones at this time would be annuities (especially variable) and long-term care hybrid products.  Over time this role could be expanded to include other product specialties not covered by other team members.

Job Requirements:

CFP® certification, 5 years or more of financial planning experience, Series 7 and 66 registrations and insurance licenses, and knowledge of MoneyGuidePro and/or eMoney software planning programs, as well as proficiency with Excel.
