Clayton Thompson, CFP®, AIF®

As a Financial Advisor with Capital Analysts of Jacksonville, Florida, Inc, Clayton’s primary goal is to partner with his clients in all areas of their financial health.  He is passionate about building strong and enduring relationships with clients.  He is also a strong believer in empowering people through financial education; as a result, he sees himself as a teacher as well as an advisor.

Clayton spent the majority of his career working as a trader and financial advisor with a Fortune 500 firm, where the particular needs of his clients varied significantly.  As an integral part of the Capital Analysts of Jacksonville team he works with individuals, families, business owners, and institutions to help them achieve an in-depth understanding of the financial strategies that can help them reach their goals.

After growing up in Tallahassee, FL., Clayton graduated magna cum laude from Florida State University.  He was honorably discharged from the United Stated Marine Corps after five years of service, and is a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).  He spends time teaching debt management and budgeting at his local church; he lives in Jacksonville with his wife and two daughters.

Clayton has extensive experience in retirement planning, insurance strategies, estate planning, and investments.  He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM  certification in 2017 to accompany his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations, which he maintains through his affiliation with Lincoln Investment.  He is also a licensed Life and Health Insurance agent.
